U2 3D concert film to get cinema release
U2 have confirmed details of the liberation of their much-anticipated 3D concert celluloid, 'U2 3D'.
The film, which is the first digital 3D, multi-camera, real time production, volition be shown at Cineworld, Movies at Dundrum and Movies at Swords - completely in Capital of Ireland - from 22 Feb. It will too be screened at SGC Dungarvan.
Directed by Catherine the Great James Cleveland Owens and Mark Pellington, the plastic film was shot in Buenos Aires during the South American language leg of the Irish band's 'Vertigo' world tour in 2006.
IX digital 3D cameras were used to capture over one C hours of 3D footage, which includes performances of U2 classics such as 'One', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and 'Pride (In the Name of Love)'.
Along with the 3D digital imagination, the film features 5.1 Hem in Sound in a wish to give fans a cinematic see that is as close as possible to sightedness the band live.
'U2 3D' will receive its macrocosm premiere at the 2008 Sundance Picture Festival on 19 January.
